Great to meet you!

Deciding to begin therapy is a courageous step — and I’m glad you’re here. I’m Gabriel Mouyal, LMHC, CRC, a licensed mental health counselor with 5 years of clinical experience supporting adults and adolescents through life’s challenges. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you as we explore what brought you here and work together toward meaningful change and lasting growth.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process — one where you are the expert of your own life and I partner with you to build the skills, insight, and resilience needed for sustained well-being. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, life transitions, relationship stress, trauma, or other mental health struggles, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to your unique needs. While

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my work, I draw from additional modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused techniques, strengths-based interventions, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

ART is a trauma-informed approach that can help clients process distressing memories and emotional responses.

In our first session, we’ll begin with an initial assessment to understand what brings you to therapy and co-create a clear, meaningful plan. Throughout therapy, I aim to help you build long-term skills for resilience, emotional regulation, and fulfilling relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll start by discussing what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and any previous experiences with therapy, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.

This session also allows us to begin identifying goals and outlining a treatment approach that fits your needs. I take a collaborative, client-centered approach and tailor therapy using evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and solution-focused strategies. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapy process, next steps, and how we can work together to support your growth, healing, and long-term well-being.
