Great to meet you!

My name is Gabriel Peña, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I earned my Masters of Education and Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. I have spent my career working with individuals struggling with addiction and other co-occurring disorders, and I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community and related issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relationship-focused and strength-based, and I utilize a variety of counseling approaches, such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Adlerian Therapy. I believe in empowerment, and my goal is to assist in dismantling the narrative often set in place by labels and diagnoses.

What you can expect from me

My research interests in therapeutic relationships drive my passion for the mental health field, and I prioritize trust, safety, and empathy. Clients can expect a sense of warmth and security and a greater sense of autonomy.
