Great to meet you!

If you are feeling overwhelmed, confused, or disconnected from yourself, please know that you don’t have to have it all figured out. It takes considerable courage to seek therapy and implement change. As quoted by George Moriarty – “We open up or close the gates on the road ahead or the road behind”.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who obtained my graduate degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology at Illinois State University. I help individuals navigate grief, anxiety, autism-related challenges, cultural identity concerns, pre-bariatric counseling and major life transitions. I would love to assist you in your journey of self-discovery. I offer culturally responsive care designed to help you gain clarity, strengthen your coping strategies, and move you toward a lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is relaxed, conversational, and deeply rooted in meeting you exactly where you are on your path. We collaborate to comprehend the situation, devise a strategy, and move you forward. I take the lead out of curiosity and maintain a pace that is entirely tailored to you—we do not move too fast, not too slow, but we move just right.

I practice a grounded, humanistic approach with 12 years of trauma-informed clinical experience that incorporates integrative therapeutic approach based on individualized needs rather than using a “one-size-fits-all” method.

What you can expect from me

Every person’s story, background, relationships, and goals are different, so in the first therapy session, expect therapy to be tailored to meet you where you are at emotionally and personally.

I focus on helping clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but why patterns developed and how meaningful, lasting change can occur.
