Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Gabi. As a therapist, my approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on helping you understand your experiences while building practical tools for change. I obtained my counseling degree from the University of Colorado Denver, completing my clinical training at the university counseling center and through a local non-profit. I have since continued my professional development through experience in the community mental health setting, and through additional training in EMDR.

My approach to therapy

In the therapeutic space, I place special emphasis on the value of curiosity, authenticity, and creating a therapeutic relationship where clients feel respected, valued, and understood. I draw from CBT, EMDR, DBT, Narrative, person-centered, and feminist therapy, adapting our work to your needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I support clients working through trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, and relationship concerns.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to slow down, become familiar with the therapeutic process, and begin identifying what you would like support with. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope will be different through our work together. I’ll also answer any questions you may have, and work with you to clarify and outline initial goals.
