Great to meet you!

I am a very down-to-earth therapist, and I present in a genuine, caring way to my clients. I entered this profession because I have a passion for working with people who are going through a dark time in their lives, and I have faith that things can change. I hold Bachelor's and Master's Degrees of Social Work from Auburn University, and because of my background, I have a wide range of experience with clients struggling with all sorts of issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

At the core of my therapeutic practice is Person-Centered Therapy, which is about the therapist's need to be authentic, show empathy, and have unconditional positive regard. I do draw upon other modalities of treatment, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am extremely open to feedback in terms of approach, so please let me know if there is something I can do to serve you better.

What you can expect from our first session

It is my hope that all my clients leave their sessions feeling understood, heard, and validated. As we have more sessions together, I hope people see therapy as a place where they feel lighter when they leave, and that they know they are not alone in their struggles.
