Great to meet you!

My name is Gabi and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I received a master's in science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Flagler College. I currently work at Flagler College. Before working at Flagler College's Counseling Center, I worked at Wekiva Springs Center and UF Health St. Johns (Flagler Hospital), serving high-acuity psychiatric populations in inpatient behavioral health units and partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs.

I have a passion for working with individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder and related disorders, along with anxiety and mood disorders. I am currently trained in EMDR (eye movement, desensitization, and reprocessing) Therapy. Also, I enjoy utilizing principles from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within my therapeutic sessions.

My approach to therapy

Authenticity is central to my therapeutic approach. I believe that by presenting my authentic self in session it will encourage clients to present as their authentic selves, deepening the therapeutic relationship.
