Great to meet you!

Hi there! I am so looking forward to beginning this journey with you. Therapy can feel intimidating, stigmatizing, and downright scary. I am here to tell you that my therapy space has room to validate all of those feelings -- and ways to explore past them; So we can dive into what brings you to seeking support in the first place. You will be taken care of here.

My approach to therapy

As a drama therapist (Master of Arts, NYU) and licensed creative arts therapist (NYS licensure), I work through play, storytelling, and metaphor as my main approaches to this work. When we play and use distanced interventions, we can help become more comfortable with sitting in our discomfort. I co-create a "brave space" for my clients meaning that we can unpack anything in the space, find a way to safely engage with it and then pack it back up for another time. Drama therapy is the intentional use of theatre techniques for working towards therapeutic goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel like their stories and feelings matter, and that they will be heard in the therapy space. I hope that once the session ends, my clients feel satisfied and comfortable with how we spent our time together. My goal is to allow clients to move at their own pace, while also introducing challenges and encouragement along the way because I believe in them no matter how fast or slow we walk this road together.
