Great to meet you!

My name is Gabby Mitchell, and I am a licensed clinical social worker who works with people whose lives have been negatively impacted by trauma, violence, sudden loss, and systemic oppression. For too long, you have been pushing through the pain in silence. I'm here to tell you that your pain is real, and that there is a way to grow and heal what you have gone through.

My approach to therapy

No matter if you are the first person in your family who has struggled or the 14th person, you can be the first person to live a better, mentally healthy lifestyle. I am an Illinois licensed clinical social worker and I use traditional therapy methods to help people who have experienced intergenerational trauma find the healing they need to live their best lives.

What you can expect from me

My specialty is working with children and adults who have been exposed to violence, abuse, poverty, and loss, who may not have had an opportunity to recover. Many of my clients seem okay on the outside but struggle to keep it together every day. They live fast paced lives and are accustomed to avoiding their feelings. They put others first and themselves last. But overall, they want a change to pause, to be heard, and to heal.
