Great to meet you!
I work with people who have experienced what is often clearly recognized as trauma, such as sexual assault or intimate partner violence, as well as those whose experiences may not carry that label but have had a similarly lasting impact. These are often the cumulative, less visible experiences that shape how we move through the world over time: absent or inconsistent caregivers, chronically unhealthy relationships, growing up with caretakers who were overly critical, emotionally unavailable, overbearing, or struggling with untreated mental health concerns. While these experiences may not always be named as “trauma,” they can profoundly affect a person’s sense of safety, worth, and connection.
I'm an LGBTQIAP2 affirming provider.
