Great to meet you!

I work with people who have experienced what is often clearly recognized as trauma, such as sexual assault or intimate partner violence, as well as those whose experiences may not carry that label but have had a similarly lasting impact. These are often the cumulative, less visible experiences that shape how we move through the world over time: absent or inconsistent caregivers, chronically unhealthy relationships, growing up with caretakers who were overly critical, emotionally unavailable, overbearing, or struggling with untreated mental health concerns. While these experiences may not always be named as “trauma,” they can profoundly affect a person’s sense of safety, worth, and connection.

I'm an LGBTQIAP2 affirming provider.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered. We work together to determine the direction of our work and the areas you want to explore more deeply. I am not here to judge your choices or tell you what to do. Instead, I help you better understand what is working in your life, what feels stuck or unsatisfying, and what you want to shift so you can move toward your goals and a greater sense of fulfillment.

I integrate social justice, racial equity, intersectional feminism, and other diversity, equity, and inclusion perspectives into my work. When relevant, we may explore how systems of privilege, oppression, discrimination, or shame have shaped your experiences and identity. These conversations can also include reflection on our therapeutic relationship and how our identities may interact in the room, as part of creating a thoughtful, affirming, and transparent therapeutic space.
