Great to meet you!

My name is Gail-Ann Roberts and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). A graduate of the Fordham’s Graduate School of Social Services, I have had the opportunity to work in various settings with clients who are challenged by mental health, alcohol and substance abuse, homelessness and client with co-occurring illnesses of mental health and substance use. I have also had the opportunity to provide patients with individual and group psychotherapy.

My approach to therapy

My communication style is open and friendly, which helps me create a safe space for others to express themselves. I prioritize active listening and empathy, ensuring that everyone feels heard and valued in conversations. I encourage openness and honest dialogue and believe fostering a supportive environment allows for meaningful interactions, where ideas can be shared freely, without judgment. This approach not only strengthens relationships but also promotes collaboration and understanding.

What you can expect from me

As I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, I will seek to first understand their needs and motivations by asking open-ended questions, then guide them through setting SMART goals, and provide the tools needed to attain those goals.
