Great to meet you!

I’ve been working as a therapist since 2016 and have had the opportunity to work with people in many different settings, from crisis counseling and residential substance use treatment to private practice. Those experiences have taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I’m warm, down-to-earth, and genuinely curious about people, and I want my clients to feel that they can show up as they are—without having to have everything figured out first.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines practical, evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT with an emphasis on emotional regulation and self-compassion. I want my clients to understand why they think, feel, and behave the way they do, while also learning concrete skills to help them respond differently. I also believe therapy should be about more than simply reducing symptoms—we can use this time to think about what matters to you and how you want to live your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you’d like to work on. I’ll ask questions to get a better understanding of the bigger picture, but there’s no expectation that you have to tell me everything right away. Toward the end of our session, we’ll identify some initial goals together so that we have a sense of where we’re headed and can begin building a plan that feels useful to you.
