Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual mental health counselor who strives to create a therapeutic environment rooted in each client’s cultural, spiritual, and personal experiences. My approach is holistic, recognizing the importance of addressing the interconnected aspects of an individual’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

I believe the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work begins with creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where individuals feel comfortable, heard, and understood. I begin by simply listening, acknowledging each person’s experiences, and meeting them where they are without judgment. Through empathy, genuine connection, and collaboration, I work alongside clients to help them explore their strengths, navigate challenges, develop insight, and move toward healing and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic foundation is rooted in a person-centered approach, emphasizing the importance of building a trusting, collaborative relationship with each client. I strive to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges within a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.

I draw upon an integrative approach informed by my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Creative Arts Therapy, and Feminist-Relational Therapy. I recognize that each individual’s experiences, needs, and strengths are unique, and I tailor my therapeutic approach to support personal growth, self-awareness, resilience, and healing. I also incorporate yoga-based techniques, mindfulness, breathwork, and mind-body practices to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, stress reduction, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to experience a mix of emotions, including uncertainty, nervousness, or even relief. My goal is to make your first session a comfortable, welcoming, and judgment-free experience where you feel heard, respected, and supported.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. We will explore what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal experiences, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.

I will also ask questions to better understand your cultural background, relationships, personal values, strengths, and the different aspects of your life that contribute to your overall well-being. There is no expectation to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Most importantly, therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to listen, provide guidance, and work alongside you as you develop insight, identify strengths, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change.

You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. Simply showing up is a meaningful first step.
