Great to meet you!

If you're struggling with addiction, carrying the weight of complex trauma, or trying to cope while managing a chronic health condition, I want you to know there's a way forward — and you don't have to walk it alone. I'm a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) with over 16 years of experience across private practice, residential substance abuse treatment, medical social work, and the non-profit world. I've sat with people in their hardest, most overwhelming moments, and I bring that same steady, non-judgmental presence to every session.

Much of my work centers on substance use and recovery, complex trauma, and the emotional toll of chronic medical conditions. Whether you're in the thick of a crisis or finally ready to address something you've carried for years, I'll meet you exactly where you are — with compassion, real tools, and zero judgment.

My approach to therapy

I draw on a blend of evidence-based, practical approaches — Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing — and I match the method to what you're actually facing rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all plan.

That might mean building concrete coping and de-escalation skills when things feel out of control, using EMDR and trauma-focused work to help your mind process painful experiences, or finding and strengthening your own motivation for change. Whatever the path, the goal is the same: helping you feel more grounded, more in control, and more capable of handling what life brings — both in our sessions and long after.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is simply a chance to get to know each other and begin building trust — no pressure to share everything at once. We'll talk through what's brought you in, what you're currently facing, and what you're hoping will feel different, all in a safe and supportive space where you can be honest without fear of judgment.

From there, we'll start identifying coping strategies and goals that fit your life and your pace. My hope is that you leave that first conversation feeling heard, supported, and a little more hopeful about the road ahead.
