Garth Amundson

I have three decades of experience working with a wide variety of problems. I see adolescents, adults and older people, and am published in the area of the connection between spirituality and psychotherapy.

I spend time listening carefully to clients, so as to formulate a picture of the manner in which past experiences have influenced current interpersonal relationships. My approach to therapy is based on what each client feels will be most helpful, whether this involves more cognitive-behavioral or insight-oriented work.

I have found a conversational, affirming and appropriately upbeat approach comes most naturally to me.
