Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and psychotherapist, I believe prioritizing your mental health is one of the most important steps toward building a stable, meaningful, and fulfilling life. Reaching out for help can feel intimidating, and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to begin that process. I have been practicing for over 26 years, with the past decade focused on helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and anger management concerns.

Many of the clients I work with experience chronic stress, difficulty managing emotions, communication struggles, or patterns in relationships that leave them feeling frustrated, misunderstood, or disconnected. I work with clients ages 15–65 and support individuals who may be dealing with persistent worry, low mood, irritability, family conflict, life transitions, or difficulty coping with everyday pressures. My goal is to help you gain insight into your experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop healthier ways to manage challenges so you can move forward with greater confidence and balance.

My approach to therapy

I believe every person has a unique story, and therapy should reflect that. My approach is individualized, client-centered, and collaborative. If we work together, we will become partners in your healing and personal growth journey. I place strong importance on creating a safe and respectful environment where you feel comfortable expressing yourself openly and honestly.

Together, we will explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to better understand what may be contributing to anxiety, depression, anger, or relationship difficulties. I aim to both support and gently challenge you when needed, helping you build self-awareness, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies that create lasting change. Therapy is not just about talking through problems—it’s about gaining tools, insight, and confidence to navigate life more effectively.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic foundation. You will have the space to share your story, discuss the concerns that brought you to therapy, and talk about what you hope to achieve through our work together. Many clients come in feeling nervous or unsure of what to expect, and my goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where you feel comfortable being open and vulnerable.

During this initial session, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and explore the challenges you may be facing, whether they involve anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship struggles, or stress related to life transitions. From there, we will develop a collaborative plan that helps you build the skills, insight, and confidence needed to move toward the healthier and more balanced life you want.
