Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience as a therapist, counselor, and mediator in North Dakota. Through my private practice, Prairie Horizons, I work with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, career stress, OCD, ADHD, trauma, and emotional abuse. Over the course of my career I have worked in diverse settings and with clients across the lifespan, developing a clinical style that is warm, practical, and grounded in decades of real-world experience. I believe that every person carries the capacity for growth, and I am committed to helping you find the path forward that is right for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach draws on a range of evidence-based methods, including CBT, EFT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness, tailored to what each client actually needs. I have been described by clients as soft-spoken, attentive, and supportive, and I take pride in creating a space where you feel heard and respected from the start. Whether you are working through something that has built up over years or facing a more immediate challenge, I will meet you where you are and help you build the insight and skills to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and for me to understand what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping for. I will listen without judgment and take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and at ease from the start. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit.
