Great to meet you!

I’m glad you’re here. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and I know reaching out for support isn’t always easy. My goal is to provide a space where you can feel comfortable, be yourself, and talk openly about whatever you’re facing.

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience and earned both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from West Virginia University. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, grief, relationship challenges, burnout, and major life transitions.

My approach is down to earth, collaborative, and focused on what matters most to you. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, one where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also gaining practical tools to help you move forward. Whether you’re working through a difficult season or looking to better understand yourself, I’m committed to helping you make meaningful, lasting progress.

My approach to therapy

My approach is straightforward, collaborative, and centered on your goals. I take the time to understand your experiences, your strengths, and what has brought you to therapy. Whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, we'll work together to find an approach that fits your needs.

I believe therapy should be both supportive and honest. I'll listen without judgment, ask questions that encourage new perspectives, and provide feedback when it's helpful. If you're processing trauma, we'll move at a pace that feels safe for you while building the skills and confidence needed to support healing.

My goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop practical tools for everyday life, and feel more confident in your ability to handle whatever comes next.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to start understanding your story. I'll ask questions about what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you hope will be different as a result of therapy. You don't need to have everything figured out before you walk in the door, and there's no expectation that you'll share more than you're ready to.

We'll also talk about what you're looking for in a therapist, answer any questions you have, and begin putting together a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. By the end of the session, my hope is that you'll have a better sense of how I work, what therapy with me will look like, and whether we're a good fit to work together.
