Great to meet you!

My experience spans outpatient therapy as well as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings, where I've worked with people navigating a range of mental health challenges. This has shaped my belief that meaningful progress looks different for everyone. Our work will be tailored to your needs, strengths, values, and background. I believe meaningful growth happens when we feel safe enough to explore our experiences, emotions, and patterns without fear of judgment. I see therapy as a collaborative process in which we work together to understand what you are experiencing, identify what matters most to you, and develop goals that align with your needs and values.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that you can accept yourself as you are while still wanting things to change. The ways you've learned to cope, protect yourself, and navigate relationships often developed for a reason. Rather than judging those patterns, I want to help you understand them and explore whether they're still serving you. I believe you can be doing the best you can with what you have while also learning new ways to navigate life's challenges.

I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies and incorporate tools from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing when helpful. Together, we may explore emotional regulation, coping strategies, relationships, or patterns that no longer serve you. I strive to balance a supportive space for reflection with practical strategies that you can apply in your daily life. Above all, I believe therapy should be tailored to you, honoring your unique experiences, cultural background, and strengths.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've never been before or aren't sure what to expect. Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, talk about what has been going on in your life, and begin figuring out what you need from therapy. We'll talk about what helps you feel supported and begin identifying goals that make sense for you.
