Great to meet you!

Hello! I have been in practice for over 32 years working with both teens and adults who have MH issues and addiction issues. I use a combination of DBT and CBT, and recently, EMDR as well as other tools to work on coping skills and have client's feel better overall.

My approach to therapy

I am person-centered and believe it is your treatment and goals to work on vs. telling you what to do. I am hands on, explaining the skills and am much like a teacher as well as therapist. I am compassionate and use a sense of humor at times. I have heard that my type of therapy has been helpful for clients who have been in therapy before with mixed results.

What you can expect from me

I would like you to work on goals and objectives of your choice, writing up a treatment plan with goals that are attainable and sustainable. I work from a place of being non-judgmental toward others as well. The main goal is to increase functioning and think about situations in a different way to create change.
