Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) providing secure, convenient telehealth counseling services to clients located in George and Louisiana. With over 20 years of experience, I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, and other difficult seasons.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in Natchitoches, LA and went on to complete a Master of Social Work at Louisiana State University in 2004. My education, combined with my clinical experience, has equipped me to help individuals navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and work toward their personal goals,

My approach to therapy

I believe counseling works best when you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being honest about what you are experiencing. My approach is warm, curious, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you want to change, or simply looking for greater clarity and balance, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward what feels healthier and more fulfilling. I help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors and develop practical tools that can lead to meaningful change both inside and outside of therapy.

My preferred treatment style is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) which focuses on helping you to change negative thought patterns so you can view situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. CBT is a useful tool to address depression, anxiety, learn techniques for coping with stressful situations, resolve conflicts and learn better ways to communicate. In addition, I incorporate mindfulness techniques and solution focused therapy to enhance my practice.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to counseling. I strive to create a warm, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you can share at your own pace without feeling pressured to have everything figured out. We will talk about what you are experiencing, what you would like to see change, and begin identifying practical goals for our work together. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can go from here.
