Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas with over 23 years of experience supporting individuals and families in GA, IL, NY, CA and TX states through emotional, medical, and social challenges. My practice is rooted in providing compassionate, client-centered, and culturally responsive care across a wide range of mental health needs.

Over the years, I have worked in diverse settings including hospitals, hospice care, community programs, and adult day health services. I have also contributed to international mental health initiatives and led volunteer mental health projects during the COVID-19 pandemic, which were recognized in a peer-reviewed publication.

My clinical experience includes working with clients facing trauma, chronic illness, grief and loss, caregiver stress, and life transitions. I specialize in crisis intervention, geriatric and disability support, care coordination, and program development. I also have extensive experience supervising clinical teams and supporting volunteer organizations.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia since 2001 and a Bachelor of Economics from Guangdong University of Business Studies in China. I am fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and I am also trained in sign language both in Chinese and English. I am accepting EAP clients especially who is looking to speak in Cantonese and Mandarin.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in supporting older adults, caregivers, adolescents, and immigrant families through culturally responsive, person-centered care. I use CBT, solution-focused therapy, and a holistic lens to help clients navigate life transitions, stress, grief, and complex family dynamics with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re a teen feeling overwhelmed, a parent navigating family stress, or a caregiver facing burnout—you’re not alone. I offer a warm, affirming space where culture, language, and identity are honored. Together, we can create a path toward healing and connection that fits your life and story. Reach out when you’re ready.

What you can expect from me

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients manage stress, anxiety, and family challenges. In our first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and identify goals. Together, we'll examine how your thoughts impact your emotions and learn strategies to shift patterns for lasting emotional relief.I work with older adults, caregivers, adolescents, and immigrant families facing stress, identity challenges, or intergenerational conflict. In our sessions, we'll explore your concerns in depth and create a plan that fits your goals. Many clients begin to feel more balanced, understood, and empowered within the first few sessions.

1) 心理健康很重要,关乎自己的幸福生活质量;

2)不要把心理咨询看成啥灵丹妙药,能认识到自己需要专业心理咨询的朋友就已经至少自己愿意面对自己的问题;

3)心理咨询记得要找专业有可靠资质的人,如果你的朋友圈子里有认识的做这行的人,可以考虑让朋友推荐一下,但是记住不要找朋友给你咨询,因为如果你的朋友是专业的心理咨询师,应该遵守行业规范不会接受朋友来做咨询的,万一你的朋友真的接受了你的个案,我只能说祝你们都好运;

4)如果你觉得就平时同没有受过专业训练的亲朋好友聊聊天就能解决你的心理问题的话,有可能你真的还不需要专业的咨询。但是如果你觉得还不行,那么为什么不试一下找专业人士呢?

5)不是别人说最好的心理咨询师就一定是最适合你的人,找心理咨询师同找对象差不多,只有最适合你的,没有最好的;
