Great to meet you!

I'm Gena Haley, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 25 years of experience walking alongside individuals as they navigate life's challenges. I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I'm honored you're considering inviting me to be part of your journey.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, autism spectrum-related concerns, bipolar disorder, and a variety of other emotional and mental health challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain, or simply ready for something to change, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with hope and confidence.

My approach to therapy is person-centered and solution-focused, which means I meet you where you are and tailor our work to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, build on what's already working, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.

Above all, I believe healing happens in a space where you feel safe, respected, accepted, and genuinely heard. My goal is to create an environment where you can speak openly, feel understood without judgment, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and hope.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself, so I strive to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged every step of the way. Together, we'll build on your strengths while exploring practical strategies to help you overcome life's challenges.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrate creative, solution-focused techniques—including art therapy, interactive activities, and personalized exercises—to help you apply what you learn in session to your everyday life. My goal is for therapy to be meaningful not only during our time together, but also in the moments between sessions as lasting change begins to take shape.

I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety and depression while also providing supportive care for those navigating autism spectrum disorder and bipolar disorder. Whether you're seeking relief from overwhelming emotions, looking to strengthen your relationships, or hoping to better understand yourself, I'm here to help you build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

What clients can expect to take away from our sessions: Every person's journey is unique, but my hope is that each time we meet, you'll leave feeling a little lighter, a little more hopeful, and better equipped to navigate whatever life brings your way.

Together, we'll work to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while developing practical tools you can use in your everyday life. Along the way, many clients discover greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, stronger relationships, and renewed confidence in their ability to handle life's challenges.

Whether you're looking for clarity during a difficult season, healing from past experiences, or support as you pursue personal growth, my goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, supported, and empowered. Most importantly, I want you to know that you don't have to face life's challenges alone—we'll work through them together, one step at a time.
