Great to meet you!

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like chaos has overtaken your life? Yes, that Hot Mess is welcome.

I am Gena Hepworth, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping clients find their "brave." I work with adolescents (12+) and adults who are navigating trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Whether you are dealing with family estrangement, navigating an empty nest, returning from a mission trip, or facing big-picture questions about your legacy and spirituality, I am here to help you make sense of your life story.

Education: BA in social work UMBC: University of Maryland Baltimore County Catonsville, MD. MSW from Augsburg University Minneapolis, MN.

My practice, Restore Grace Counseling, is a "no-shame zone." I work with individuals from a vast variety of backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, those of many faith traditions, inclusive of those who are agnostic or questioning. While my own foundation is a Christian worldview, my primary goal is to meet you exactly where you are with respect, honor, and non-judgment.

My approach to therapy

I believe that to change your "NOW," we have to understand your roots. Rather than just putting a band-aid on your symptoms, we will look at the underlying woundedness or trauma that is keeping you stuck.

I use a holistic, attachment-based perspective. While I am highly trained in specialized therapies like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), my focus isn't on clinical jargon—it's on giving you practical tools for your emergency toolbox. Together, we will heal the way your body responds to stress, rebuild your security, and create a path to wholeness.

You were created for MORE. If you are ready to make room for recovery in this next season of your life, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I offer secure telehealth services for clients across both Colorado and Wyoming. Reach out today to schedule a consultation.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about one thing: feeling safe. There is no pressure to have it all figured out or to share everything at once. I will simply ask what is bringing you in, what has felt most heavy lately, and what you are hoping this work can do for you in this season of your life.

I create a genuine therapeutic relationship built on warmth, curiosity, and zero judgment. By the end of our first hour together, you will have a clearer sense of what our work might look like — and you will leave with at least one practical tool or insight you can use right away.

I offer a free 10–15 minute consultation before we begin, so you can ask questions and make sure we are a good fit. You were created for more than this struggle. I would be honored to walk alongside you.
