Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist of 14 years I believe that a person enters therapy with hopes of learning to improve upon themselves, better manage or resolve that which they may be experiencing. I have worked alongside children, adolescents and adults providing individual, family and couples therapy. At present, I am only partnering with minors 16 yrs+ and adults for individual therapy services. I have experience with working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, workplace stress/challenges, interpersonal challenges, aging and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a partnership between myself and the individual seeking assistance. I meet each individual where they are, employing both a non-directive (person-centered therapy) and directive approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused and other brief therapies.

What you can expect from me

I am fully present in each session as I like to connect with others. I seek to understand and am empathic and non-judgmental. I am very transparent, communicating in a direct yet conversational manner.

Treatment goals are established by the individual although I might assist in helping to clarify and define that which they are hoping to attain. I believe the individual knows themself better than I and in partnering with me I am able to utilize the skill sets I possess to help them achieve that desired.

To receive the utmost benefits of treatment I believe that one must be prepared to do the work. Therapy is an active process that requires commitment and consistency on behalf of the individual.
