Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Genesis Morales. I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and received my Masters at the University of Southern California and completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

I have professional training and experience in working with clients who want to process childhood trauma, grief & loss, and need support in building self-acceptance and self-compassion.

As Carl Rogers states, "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I understand that struggles with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief can feel overwhelming, leaving individuals disconnected from themselves and their bodies. My approach focuses on healing through somatic, body-centered approaches which encourage a deeper connection to the body’s wisdom. I believe that by tuning into the physical sensations and emotions stored in the body, we can uncover the root causes of distress and begin to release what no longer serves us. By integrating body awareness, I support clients in processing emotions more fully, cultivating radical self-acceptance, curiosity, and self-compassion.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered to navigate your healing journey with curiosity and self-compassion. I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Through somatic, body-centered therapy, I offer a safe environment where you can reconnect with yourself, process your emotions more deeply, and begin to heal from within. Together we can create a path toward greater peace, self-acceptance, and emotional well-being.
