Genia Gillaspy

Hello, I am Genia Gillaspy, LPC. I retired from a school district after 26 years teaching secondary students and becoming a school counselor. Being the avid learner and always searching for more depth, I went back to the university to become a licensed professional counselor. I earned a M.A. in Counseling, and now I am in private practice. My specialty is any type of relationship. I work with child/child relationships and couples (dating, engaged, married, divorced, and single parents). Clear and concise communication ensures healthier relationships.

My style of counseling is purely a calm conversation with the client. Once a professional relationship is built, then we begin diving deeper into the root of the issue. Then we practice healthier ways to think, feel, and behave toward the situation.

A client can expect on their first visit to ask questions about therapy, tell me about them, and let me know what their goals are for counseling.
