Great to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Genna Power, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. My background in nonprofit organizations and community mental health has shaped the way I show up in the therapy space. With compassion, presence, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. In my practice, I focus on working with adults navigating grief and loss, aging, chronic pain and illness, life transitions, and caregiver burnout or stress. These experiences can often feel isolating, overwhelming, or too heavy to carry alone.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach, meeting you where you are and honoring your unique experiences. My focus is on supporting adults through grief and loss, life transitions, and caregiver burnout, with a culturally responsive lens that recognizes grief looks different across cultures and individuals. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to offer both practical tools and space for reflection, helping you reconnect with your values and move toward a more grounded, meaningful life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other in a safe, supportive space. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, what feels most important to you, and begin setting goals together. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, cared for, and with a sense of how we can move forward side by side.
