Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy can feel really unsettling and finding someone you genuinely feel comfortable talking to is so important. As a therapist, I’m warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can show up as yourself without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you better understand what’s keeping you stuck, recognize the strengths you already bring to the table, and develop tools that help you move toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety disorders and OCD, as well as those navigating stress, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed or burned out by the demands of everyday life.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative. You bring expertise about your life and experiences, and I bring clinical knowledge and strategies to help us make sense of what you’re going through and determine what might help.

My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and practical. Depending on your needs, I draw from evidence-based approaches to help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and begin responding to them differently.

When working with anxiety and OCD, I focus on helping clients understand the cycle of anxiety, recognize avoidance and fear-driven patterns, and gradually build greater confidence in tolerating discomfort and uncertainty. I’ll support you along the way, but I’ll also gently challenge you when staying comfortable may be keeping you stuck.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult lately, relevant parts of your history, and what you’d like to be different as a result of our work together.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. By the end of our first few conversations, my hope is that we have a clearer understanding of what you’re experiencing, what you want to work toward, and how we can approach it together. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling that therapy is a place where you can be honest, curious, challenged, and supported.
