Great to meet you!

Your strengths and needs are as unique as your reasons for seeking therapy in the first place. This is why I take a conversational, client-centered, humanistic approach to therapy. I truly believe there is no problem too small or large to address in therapy, and in fact, one does not need to be experiencing a specific issue to benefit from the opportunity for personal growth counseling offers. No matter what circumstances may have brought you here, please accept my invitation to reach out today.

I have special experience in chronic mental health conditions, substance use, and dual diagnosis concerns. Additionally, as a former veterans treatment court clinician and the son of a Vietnam Era NCO, I am sensitive to the role court involvement and military trauma can play in mental health challenges, and I am ready to listen and offer support.

My approach to therapy

My approach is a grounded, person-centered one that trusts you are the expert of your own experiences. I am guided by the idea that, at the end of the day, the core of therapy is having a conversation with another human being, and as such, while it can often be challenging, it should never be intimidating.

What you can expect from me

I know that the act of "getting through the door" in the first place can be one of the most challenging aspects of therapy. I strive to ensure our initial meeting is a welcoming and reassuring experience. I'll ask you some questions about your background and reasons for seeking therapy, and I will do my best to answer any questions or concerns you might have as well!
