Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! My name is Dr. Georgiana Anugom, DNP, PMHNP-BC. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over six years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adolescents and adults.

I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and have extensive experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder (BPD). I believe in treating each individual with dignity, respect, and empathy. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients from all backgrounds feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their mental health journey.

I am passionate about helping individuals achieve emotional wellness, improve their quality of life, and develop the tools needed to thrive in their personal and professional lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and holistic. I believe that successful treatment begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, open communication, and mutual respect.

I work closely with clients to understand their unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and treatment goals. I utilize evidence-based practices, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy techniques. I consider biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors when developing individualized treatment plans.

My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help clients build resilience, improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and achieve long-term emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where they can openly discuss their concerns. I take time to listen carefully and gain a comprehensive understanding of their mental health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, stressors, medical history, and treatment goals.

Together, we will identify areas of concern, discuss potential diagnoses if appropriate, and develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to their needs. If medication management is indicated, we will review treatment options, benefits, risks, and answer any questions.

By the end of the session, clients can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of their mental health concerns, a plan for moving forward, and confidence that they have a provider who is committed to supporting them every step of the way.
