Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship concerns, and other life challenges across community, residential, and private-practice settings. I’m also trained in EMDR and enjoy helping clients understand themselves on a deeper level, not just manage symptoms. I come from a background where mental health wasn’t always openly discussed or prioritized, which has shaped how deeply I value mental wellness. I believe caring for our mental health is just as important as caring for our physical health, even when what we’re carrying isn’t visible to others.

My approach to therapy

My style is down-to-earth, collaborative, and active—I want therapy to feel like a conversation with another human, where we’re working together toward meaningful change. I may offer a connection or perspective you haven’t considered, but I’ll always invite you to tell me if it doesn’t fit; you are the expert on your own experience. I draw from EMDR, parts work, CBT, DBT, psychodrama, and other experiential approaches, often moving between them naturally based on what comes up in the session. My goal is for therapy to be more than talking about change—we’ll also slow down and make space to actually experience moments of relief, connection, or insight when they happen.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know one another and understanding what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope might feel different. There’s no expectation that you share everything at once, and you’re always welcome to ask questions about me, therapy, or the process along the way. Together, we’ll begin identifying what feels most important to work on and what approach may be helpful for you. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling that therapy is a space where you can show up as yourself.
