Great to meet you!

I'm Gerald LeBoeuf, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I've spent years sitting with people during some of the hardest chapters of their lives — not to fix them, but to help them find their footing. Anxiety is at the center of a lot of what I treat: that persistent hum of worry, the racing thoughts at 2am, the way it shows up in your relationships without you meaning it to. I also work with trauma, grief, relationship conflict, and life transitions that leave people feeling unmoored. My clients tend to be people who are thoughtful, self-aware, and ready to do the real work — they just need the right space to do it. For those whose faith is part of how they make sense of life, I'm experienced bringing that into the room as well — though it's never required.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation — one with real direction and purpose, not endless processing that goes nowhere. I'm direct without being blunt, and warm without being passive. I'll listen carefully, and I'll also push back when something deserves a closer look. Depending on what you're working on, I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused methods, and emotionally-focused techniques. I adjust my approach based on who's in front of me, not a pre-set formula. Sessions are available via telehealth throughout California, which means geography doesn't have to be a barrier to getting real support.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation — not a form to fill out or a list of symptoms to tick through. In our first session, I'll want to understand what's bringing you in right now, what's been happening beneath the surface, and what you're hoping things look like on the other side of this work. You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to show up. By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of whether I'm the right fit and what working together might look like. I accept most major insurances including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Cigna, and United Healthcare — so there's no financial barrier to getting started.
