Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Geraldine Peña, I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I obtained a Master of Education in Counseling at The Pennsylvania State University in 2017. Since then I have been working with individuals to help them grow in their attachment and emotional regulation. I have experience using the EcoSystemic Family therapy model & Internal Family System to guide individuals in developing stronger, positive interpersonal relationships.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My speciality is working with Latinx people who struggle with their attachment style & how this affects their current interrelationships with others. My work lies within helping those with: childhood trauma, sexual violence, post-traumatic-stress disorder, issues with early attachment, insecure interpersonal relationships, depression and anxiety. I believe therapy takes bravery, strength and a whole lot of vulnerability and thus strive to provide a therapeutic space that feels safe and freeing.

What you can expect from our first session

I am passionate about helping guide teens and adults of minority backgrounds to live a more healed, truthful and peaceful life by processing anything thats making that difficult! Providing you a safe space, in your native language and with someone of similar cultural background, will allow you to feel heard and process any adversities, pain, and trauma you may have experienced. As your therapist, I will support you in living your truth and advocate for positive change in your life.
