Great to meet you!

I bring a unique blend of scientific expertise and compassionate patient care to my work. I earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of North Dakota before transitioning into nursing and becoming a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). This diverse background allows me to approach challenges with both analytical problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the human side of healthcare.

I believe every client deserves to be heard, respected, and supported. My approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and focused on helping individuals navigate their healthcare journey with confidence. I am committed to building trusting relationships, advocating for my clients, and providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person's unique needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I believe in treating the whole person rather than just their symptoms, taking time to understand each client's unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals. I work closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, education, and shared decision-making. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to actively participate in their care. Through open communication, advocacy, and ongoing support, I strive to help clients achieve improved mental health, overall well-being, and a better quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we will take time to get to know one another. I will discuss your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, current challenges, and treatment goals to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs. This initial session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share your expectations, and discuss what you hope to achieve through treatment. Together, we will begin developing a personalized plan of care that supports your mental health, overall well-being, and long-term goals.
