Gerardo Esqueda

With years of experience in education and counseling, I bring a compassionate, personalized approach to helping others. After six years as a teacher and five as a school counselor, I earned my master’s from TAMIU and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In 2022, I founded Rekindle Hope Counseling to provide a safe space for individuals and families to explore feelings and reach goals. I’m deeply committed to helping others find balance and fulfillment as a husband and father of two.

As a fully certified EMDR therapist with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my approach is centered on empowering clients to discover their own paths to healing and growth. I believe in providing a supportive and collaborative space where clients can explore their challenges, identify patterns, and develop meaningful resolutions. By combining evidence-based techniques with a personalized touch, I guide clients toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change.

Clients can expect to leave in each session with greater clarity, practical tools, and a renewed sense of empowerment. I aim to help clients uncover insights, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build skills that foster growth and resilience. Whether through EMDR to process past experiences or CBT techniques to reframe current challenges, clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and actionable steps toward achieving their goals.
