Great to meet you!

My name is Gerardo Salinas. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social worker and therapist for more than 13 years. I have worked with adults, youth, and families from varied life experiences. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

My goal is to provide a space that feels warm, non-judgmental and more importantly helpful. I work with adults, adolescents and adults who are experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and many of the other effects and challenges.

My approach to therapy

I have worked with a diverse group of clients both children and adults, to find solutions to life's challenges. I enjoy using a brief strategic approach to helping resolve conflict and internal struggles. I feel comfortable working with children and families. In particular I enjoy providing family therapy to help resolve mis-communication or misunderstandings. As a Latino I have experience supporting the Black Indigenous People of Color (BiPOC) community.

What you can expect from me

I do my best to create a safe space to talk and get to know one another. I like to listen and learn about you.

I help facilitate goal setting between each session to start the process of change and healing. I encourage small but achievable goals. I try to visit goals often to see what is working and where challenges continue to arise.
