Giacomo Buscaino

I am a licensed psychologist who works with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds. I treat those who experience a wide variety of pain, which may include struggles with anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, bereavement, relationship conflicts, trauma, and professional obstacles. Outside of my private practice, I work for an outpatient clinic of South Beach Psychiatric Center where I provide individual/group therapy, and act as the primary supervisor to our externship students.

We all experience pain in our lives which is individual and personal. Therapy is a challenging process which requires strength and courage to seek out. For this reason, I look to tap into that strength to help clients reach their goals, better cope with pain, and maintain healthier relationships. While providing a supportive and collaborative environment, my philosophy is there are many roads to healing - therefore, I take an integrative approach, and use a variety of treatment modalities.

I would like my clients to become more confident in coping with their presenting problems in healthier ways. However, I look forward to my clients building new strengths in order to reduce their vulnerability to the inevitable challenges of life. It is important for clients to take a proactive approach in their lives and to cultivate the areas of their lives which provide them greatest meaning.
