Great to meet you!

With years of experience in NYC public schools and Early Intervention, she has supported children and families across a wide range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs. Her background includes working with Deaf and hard of hearing students, as well as providing counseling and crisis support in school settings from early childhood through adolescence. Giana is especially passionate about social-emotional development and creating spaces where young people feel confident, supported, and connected. She integrates movement, play, and collaboration into her sessions, always meeting clients where they are and building from their strengths.

My approach to therapy

At Project inMOTION, we believe growth happens through movement — emotionally, socially, and physically. Our practice integrates creative arts, somatic awareness, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support the social-emotional development of children, adolescents, and families. We specialize in using movement, play, and expressive modalities to help clients build regulation, strengthen relationships, and foster resilience.

Our team of clinicians includes licensed social workers, creative arts therapists and associates who bring a diverse range of training and experience in movement-based and trauma-informed care. Each clinician is committed to meeting clients where they are, creating an inclusive and compassionate space that honors individual identities, strengths, and stories.

What makes us unique is how we bring movement into therapy — helping clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate emotions, and build confidence from the inside out. Whether through individual sessions, family work, or group work, we believe in the power of motion to foster growth, expression, and connection.

What you can expect from me

Project inMOTION offers individual sessions, family sessions and group counseling designed to support the social-emotional development of young people. Our group programs use a variety of engaging modalities including: drama, music, boxing, cheerleading, and swimming; to help participants work toward their social-emotional goals in a dynamic and interactive way. Each service is designed to be person-centered, fostering growth, confidence, and resilience in a supportive and inclusive environment. Schedule a 15min phone consultation and then we will schedule a formal intake and pair you with a therapist and service that benefits your child and family.
