Great to meet you!

Are you tired of understanding the problem but still feeling stuck in the same cycle? I believe therapy should help you do more than simply talk about what is wrong. It should help you understand what is happening, why it is happening, and most importantly, what you can actually do about it.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Doctor of Clinical Psychology with nine years of experience working in mental health. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, insecurity, self-esteem concerns, imposter syndrome, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and those moments when life simply does not feel the way you want it to feel.

My style is warm, genuine, honest, and highly solution-focused. I care deeply about understanding your story, but I am equally interested in helping you move forward. I want answers. I want us to identify patterns, develop practical tools, and make changes that begin showing up in your actual life.

You do not need to come into therapy with everything figured out. We will start exactly where you are and work together, one step at a time, toward where you want to be.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and very intentional. I believe insight is important, but insight alone is not always enough. Understanding why something is happening matters; figuring out what we can do differently is where meaningful change begins.

I combine human connection with evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based work, mindfulness, motivational approaches, and trauma-informed interventions. I do not believe in forcing every client into the same therapeutic model. Your therapy should fit you.

Some sessions may require us to slow down, process, and make sense of something painful. Other sessions may involve challenging a belief, recognizing a pattern, practicing a new skill, setting a boundary, or identifying a concrete next step. I am comfortable doing both.

I want therapy to feel safe enough for you to be completely honest, but purposeful enough that you know we are moving somewhere. My goal is for you to feel heard and understood while also becoming more confident, more capable, and better equipped to navigate your life outside of our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you as a person, not reducing you to a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what feels most difficult right now, and what you would genuinely like to see change. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, strengths, stressors, and the patterns that may be contributing to where you feel stuck.

But I also want the first session to feel useful. You do not need to wait several months before therapy begins to have direction. Whenever appropriate, we can start identifying patterns, discussing strategies, and thinking about practical ways to move forward from the very beginning.

Most importantly, you can expect a conversation that is warm, relaxed, honest, and free of judgment. You do not need to prepare a perfect explanation of your life or know exactly what to say. Just show up as yourself.

By the end of our first session, my hope is that you have a clearer understanding of what we can work on together, what our direction may look like, and the sense that you have someone firmly in your corner as we begin the work.
