Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, and I work with each client to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I strive to create a space where you can be open and honest without judgment, while working together to better understand yourself, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change.

Before becoming a social worker, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. My background in dance has shaped the way I think about the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and overall well-being. I value the role that creativity, self-expression, and awareness can play in healing and personal growth. I also believe that humor, honesty, and authenticity have a place in therapy, and I want you to feel comfortable being your whole self in our work together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe you know yourself and your life best, and my role is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools that support the changes you want to make.

I draw from evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to each person rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. Depending on your needs and goals, our work may focus on managing anxiety and overwhelming emotions, changing unhelpful patterns, improving relationships, navigating life transitions, or working through OCD and substance use concerns. For clients with OCD, I incorporate evidence-based treatment approaches to help reduce the impact of intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and anxiety.

I value honesty, curiosity, and humor in the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a space where you can be real, feel respected and understood, and develop greater confidence in yourself and your ability to navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about what you’ve been experiencing, what has been difficult recently, and what you hope to get out of therapy. We’ll also talk about your history, relationships, and other experiences that may help me understand what you’re going through and what support might be most helpful.

You can expect a conversation rather than an interrogation or a checklist. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet, and you don’t have to know exactly what you need from therapy. We can figure that out together.

Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and comfortable with the possibility of working together. We’ll begin identifying goals and developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you.
