Hi! My name is Gianna Santoro. My career as a therapist started at the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned my Master of Social Work degree. Since then, I've had the privilege of working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, perfectionism, and relationship conflict. I work with adults and also have specific experience with seniors.
My approach to a session is unique to each client I work with. I use aspects of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). However, I believe the relationship and trust between therapist and client is more important than any modality used. I foster a warm environment where clients can heal and grow at their own pace, where we can process and problem solve as a team.
I understand that trusting a new therapist can be daunting. You can share your story at your pace, and together we will set goals for your wellness. Whether we are processing a difficult childhood memory or problem solving a conflict with a loved one, you will leave sessions feeling heard and empowered.
