Great to meet you!

Gillean Wade is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Bryan / College Station, Texas. She has over a decade of experience providing mental health counseling to children, adults, couples, and families. I received my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. I am licensed in the State of Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

My approach to therapy

Gillean will help the client look at present circumstances and how these are affecting the client’s experience as well as the client’s past experiences in their family or origin and other relationships. The goal of this is for the client to gain a better understanding and awareness of themselves leading to greater acceptance and compassion for oneself.

The safety and support of the therapeutic relationship can provide the client with the experience of being heard, understood and truly known.

What you can expect from me

I desire to work with you to identify relationship dynamics, belief systems and defense mechanisms in order to gain insight, understanding, and tools for new ways of living.
