Great to meet you!

I'm Gillo, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over four years of specialized experience in psychiatric and mental health care. Through my practice, I provide a wide range of mental health services — from detailed psychiatric evaluations and diagnosis to individualized medication management and therapy. I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, addiction, OCD, personality disorders, grief, and many other conditions. My care is fully virtual, which means you can access quality, consistent psychiatric support from wherever you are in New York. You are not alone in what you're facing — and you deserve care that meets you where you are.

My approach to therapy

I take a comprehensive, individualized approach to care — no two clients are the same, and no two treatment plans should be either. I draw on multiple evidence-based modalities depending on what fits you best, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused approaches. As both a therapist and prescriber, I'm able to offer integrated care: when medication is appropriate, I work with you to find the right fit — and I pair it with meaningful therapeutic work so we're addressing the full picture, not just symptoms. My priority is always to understand your history, your goals, and what wellness actually looks like for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation — a dedicated space for me to understand who you are, what you're experiencing, and what's brought you to seek care now. I'll ask about your mental health history, any prior treatment, your current symptoms, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. It's a collaborative conversation, not an interrogation. By the end of our first session, I'll share my initial clinical impressions, discuss potential diagnoses, and begin mapping out a treatment plan that makes sense for your life. My goal is for you to leave that first appointment feeling heard and with a clear sense of next steps
