Great to meet you!

Maybe you have been holding everything together for a long time, but lately anxiety, stress, family concerns, or difficulty staying focused have made everyday life feel harder than it should. You may find yourself constantly worrying, feeling mentally exhausted, struggling to keep up with responsibilities, or wondering why the strategies that used to work no longer seem to be enough. If physical health concerns are also part of what you are navigating, the emotional weight can make everything feel even more complicated. I am a licensed psychologist with more than 40 years of experience helping people understand what they are going through and find a clearer path forward. My primary areas of focus include anxiety, ADHD, family issues, stress management, and physical health concerns. I work with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and families, creating a supportive space where you can better understand what is happening, recognize your strengths, and begin making changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

My approach to therapy

Our work together will be collaborative, thoughtful, and shaped around what you need rather than a one size fits all approach. We will look at the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and everyday experiences so you can begin recognizing patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, difficulty focusing, or challenges within your family. When physical health concerns are affecting your emotional wellbeing, we can also explore ways to cope with the uncertainty, frustration, or changes they may bring. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize unhelpful patterns and practice healthier ways of responding, while mindfulness can help you become more present and manage difficult thoughts or emotions without feeling consumed by them. My approach also incorporates Client Centered Therapy and Relational Therapy, allowing our work to remain supportive, individualized, and grounded in your experiences. Treatment Modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based, Client Centered Therapy, and Relational Therapy.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to arrive at your first session knowing exactly what to say or how to explain everything you have been experiencing. We will start by getting to know what has been happening in your life, what feels most difficult right now, and what you would like to be different. From there, we will set goals together and identify practical steps that fit your needs and circumstances. You can expect me to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you recognize both the challenges you are facing and the strengths you can use to address them. Progress may look like feeling less controlled by anxiety, managing stress more effectively, developing strategies that make ADHD easier to navigate, improving communication within your family, or feeling more capable of coping with physical health concerns. We will continue checking in on what is working and adjust our approach as your needs evolve. When you feel ready to begin, you can use Headway to schedule your first session.
