Great to meet you!

Gina received her two bachelor’s degrees from California State University, Northridge, with one being in Psychology and the second in Childhood and Adolescent Development. Gina decided to further her education by going to graduate school to obtain her Master’s in Social Work degree at California State University, Los Angeles.

My approach to therapy

Gina utilizes evidence-based practices to assist her clients and those EBPs include (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (DBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Somatic Techniques, (MI) Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology. Gina’s work is all rooted in psychodynamic theory which offers clients an eclectic foundation for their path forward to healing.

What you can expect from me

Gina works hard to help client's feel better than they did at the beginning of the session and mirror all of their positive traits back to them that they may believe aren't there anymore due to their depressed state. Gina creates an inclusive environment for all and is by her client's side throughout their time in therapy.
