Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Gina Sissoko, a licensed clinical psychologist passionate about helping women—especially Black women, immigrant women, and high-achieving professionals—heal from trauma, manage stress, and create lives that feel balanced and authentic.

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both science and cultural awareness. I specialize in supporting women navigating burnout, relationship challenges, and the effects of racism or gender bias at work. In our sessions, I create a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and rebuild confidence from the inside out.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed methods—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based strategies—within a culturally affirming, strengths-focused lens. I believe therapy should honor your lived experience and empower you to define success on your own terms. Together, we’ll explore the roots of stress or self-doubt, build practical tools to manage them, and cultivate greater confidence, clarity, and balance.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and understand what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, what’s been feeling challenging, and what you hope will be different. I’ll share how I work, answer any questions, and together we’ll start mapping out a plan that feels achievable and tailored to you.

You can expect a calm, judgment-free space where you feel seen, respected, and supported from the very beginning. My goal is for you to leave that first session with a sense of relief, clarity, and hope about the path forward.
