Great to meet you!

I am a clinical psychologist working in San Diego, with over 20 years of experience. I earned a BA in Psychology from University of California Santa Barbara, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University (formerly California School of Professional Psychology). I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in substance use disorders at the San Diego Veteran's Affairs Healthcare System. I have expertise in working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use problems, relationship issues, and assertiveness. I also conduct psychological testing for questions around ADHD, Autism, mood disorders, giftedness, learning problems, and personality issues, among others. I believe psychotherapy is a collaborative process to help clients understand themselves better, achieve goals, and become one's best self.

My approach to therapy

My style is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered, psychodynamic, with some solution-focused. I am here to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along your journey.

What you can expect from me

I start with an introductory session, where you share about what is bringing you to therapy, your story, and what you hope to achieve from therapy. If you are not sure, we can work together to figure this out. Treatment goals are based upon each person's unique needs and circumstances. I hope that you will come away from each session with something new to think about, therapeutic homework, and/or techniques to help you in your life. I am dedicated to improve myself as a therapist by seeking feedback from clients about how the session went for them.
