Great to meet you!

Ginger, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with individuals with autism and other forms of neurodivergence in a world that often isn’t designed with neurodivergent needs in mind.

I began my career in community mental health, where I quickly recognized a significant gap in effective, affirming therapy for people on the spectrum. Realizing my initial training wasn’t enough to meet that need, I returned to school to earn a second master’s degree focused on autism and evidence-based approaches for supporting neurodivergent individuals.

My work centers on helping you understand how autism uniquely impacts your life, while also exploring your values, goals, and what gives your life meaning. Together, we’ll develop realistic expectations and personalized strategies to help you build a life that feels comfortable, sustainable, and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My practice stands apart because traditional therapeutic approaches are not always effective for neurodivergent individuals. Rather than expecting you to adapt to a standard model, I tailor therapy to fit you—drawing on specialized training and a deep understanding of autism and how it impacts your experience of the world.

I am passionate about this work because autism is widely misunderstood. Autism is not a deficit or collection of deficits. Autism is just a different way of experiencing a very overstimulating world filled with confusing and complex social ‘norms’ and expectations. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and create a life that feels comfortable for you.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, you can expect a supportive, judgment-free space as we get to know each other. I prioritize understanding your experiences, strengths, and what you want out of therapy, so our work is truly aligned with your needs.
