Great to meet you!

I attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene Texas and received my Master's in Family Psychology. After many years of work in a non profit adoption agency and in several psychiatric hospitals, I found my passion lies in working with individuals that want to explore their past to inform their current functioning. Although the hot "it" therapies offer quick fixes, I believe you must first understand yourself before you can understand the root of your issues.

My approach to therapy

I help those that may not know why they feel or behave they way they do. You are inherently human and inherently lovable. My approach to therapy is client centered. We will work together to uncover what's holding you back from being the best version of yourself.

“In order to improve the mind, we ought less to learn than to contemplate.” René Descartes

What you can expect from me

Not every therapist is the right fit for every client and vice versa. By the end of our first session, you should feel a sense of ease and comfort. You are the expert on your life and what will make the most of our time together. Rather than having an agenda for the session, I take your lead. Sometimes that looks like talking through a difficult situation. Sometimes that looks like education on mental health topics. And sometimes that looks like providing tools to use in between sessions.
