I have a direct, interactive and solution focused approach to therapy where you will always be in charge. I believe that therapy is so much more than venting. Venting is wonderful and definitely needed and useful. It may give us relief. However, often, the situation does not change because of venting and, over time, we feel overwhelmed again as we tread the same waters. The final goal of therapy is, after all, not to need therapy. Let me help you get there.
Therapy is about change. It involves identifying an issue which is upsetting us and is having a negative impact on our life in some form. It involves determining a goal to be reached and the measurable steps which will help us reach that goal. Progress should be evident and, whenever possible, measurable. Therapy is movement, is action, not only endless talking. I hope that you, like me, expect positive change from therapy.
